april update
SINNERS!
Hope everyone is doing well! We have some exciting news to share this month….
SACK OF SIN SHOWCASE 2 (SOSS2) IS HAPPENING - RIGHT NOW THE DATE WE ARE LOOKING AT IS EITHER AUGUST 12TH OR 26TH
This time we are “renting” out a field in the Somers/Purdys area (big thanks to Gary from THe Critically Ashamed for hooking us up!) and we are hoping that every and all of you can perform/attend!!
Gary and I have performed there with the cover band we are in for a party and let me tell you it’s PERFECT! We are talking raised stage (see below), we will have sound/lights, backline like the last showcase and there’s a nice field plenty of room for lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, whatever and yes…there’s a BBQ area and bathroom.
We will also be reaching out to various food trucks and vendors to see if they would like to provide the food/contacts for the bands and the crowd. Anyone who has connections with such things, please let us know!
We also are encouraging all of you in the artist resources group to come and offer your services! That means photos, interviews, etc. we will have an area/table for you to hock your wares.
WXAX - If you wanted to broadcast and “sponsor” this with us? GREAT! As usual, we will also be hyping on our “Hey Pal What’s New?” Podcast and if anyone wants to be on the show to promote with us, just let us know (and that goes for anytime you have anything coming up).
This will be a FREE event for people to attend, so we will be encouraging bands on the lineup to sell merch at the booth if they are looking to make money.
Plus we will be having donation buckets so fans/attendees who want to support can donate either to the band directly (which will be at the stage area and will be collected by artist at the end of their set) or to the event in general at the merch table.
That being said - WHOMEVER WANTS TO BE ON THE BILL, PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP and we can add you to the lineup! Hoping to finalize the lineup by the end of the month so we can promote heavily. I will be sending over more details on the show as it comes available but feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions.

As I also mentioned last month, I have been getting messages from another agency looking to book some shows in the NYC and Brooklyn area. and I have received the details on how they do things, if you want me to send to you directly let me know and I can send over the response I received. (it’s the basic, sell tickets, who can you bring type of scenario)
please note, currently SOSE are NOT booking agents/managers or even a “record company” but we do like to keep you all in the loop with any opps that are NOT a Sack of Sin Showcase event. Just because we are cool like that
That being said, JohnAlex and myself are looking to grow the site more and possibly expand into “talent development” where we can add more podcast shows, musicians/bands and other Artist Resources under the Sack of Sin Entertainment umbrella and act more as an Agency/Label.
