January Update

GREETINGS SINNERS!

Hope you all had a great holiday season and are all geared up for 2023! It looks to be a busy, busy year for sure.

Some updates and some housecleaning to discuss..

1) SHOWCASE NEWS (sorta): an update on the first Sack of Sin Showcase, which will be SAT MARCH 11TH @ THE LOFT in Poughkeepsie NY! We will finalizing the lineup and logistics this weekend, so you all will be getting the details by the middle/end of next week (1/20). What we have cooking right now, you can read on the prior entry HERE

Any artists on the roster that you do NOT see on there, please don’t be discouraged/pissed/whatever, this is our first one and we are learning as we go along. If you do not see your name on the lineup or if you were not contacted you WILL be included on the next showcase for the Summer, which believe me will be BIGGER and will have ALL of the roster included!

Any artists, whether you are playing the show or not, we still encourage you to please attend and spread the word along with us!

We are working with Vern and his company New Diamond Entertainment as a joint effort for this, so thank him for this! Vern will be your contact, as well as myself and JohnAlex for this and we will be sending over more details like I said next week.

2) SHOW/GIG POSTING: Friendly reminder, if you have gigs coming up even if they are not SOSE related to encourage you PLEASE to

a) POST THE FLYER ON THE FACEBOOK GROUP - that way we can include the dates on the actual website and spread the word even more about your gigs!

b) USE BANDISINTOWN - On each of your talent roster pages, we have bandisintown feeds where your upcoming gigs post under your own page. Makes it easier and shows what you have going on. It’s free and easy to use so if you have questions on how to start one let me know.

This shows outsiders that the artists on the site are actually gigging regularly and gives us both cred.

On the flipside, I’ve seen artists who are in the group, but NOT on the talent roster posting almost WAY to much about their happenings. They have been contacted to join a few times and have not responded. Just FYI if this is the case, you know them you might want to give them a heads-up they might be removed. The group is to support OUR artists. We support, we are not a charity and it’s flooding the feed with stuff that is NOT related to YOU so keep that in mind.

3) NEW TO THE SACK! please welcome some new members to the talent roster:

SPIKE POLITE AND SEWAGE - https://spikesewage.com/

We will also be working with an Alice Klein developing a “Sack of Sin Black Label” division, which will focus more on the “extreme metal” side of music. Trust me, it’s NOT for the faint of heart (especially the album covers and I’m a horror fan!) but we here at SOSE are ALL INCLUSIVE. We are talking bands such as Lipoma, Moisturizer, Bloat, Charcuterie and more to come! Alice will also be attending the showcase selling his stuff at the merch booth, so say hello!

4) MERCH PAGE: If you would like your band to be included on the Sack of Sin merch page, we have a page up now that we are doing through Bonfire where if you submit a design to us we can include shirts on there for you to promote/sell!

Band will make $5 per item sold with NO overhead and will be paid out each quarter with a statement of what is sold. If interested, please contact me and submit artwork/design as well as a method to pay you each quarter (paypal, Venmo, etc.) It’s great cross selling promotion for the brand and to quote the great Bluto from Animal House “don’t cost nothing” Check it out HERE

5) PODCAST APPEARANCE - Anyone who wants to call in to be a guest on our podcast “Hey Pal What’s New?” to promote please contact myself or JohnAlex and we can book you. We go LIVE on Fridays on the YouTubes, etc. and audio podcast version the following Mondays. You can contact me at my email, or heypalwhatsnew@gmail.com

Anything you need, or any questions feel free to reach out to me directly.

Much Love,

G2
